MEAD

We began experimenting with making mead several years ago at home after previously making homemade wines as a hobby. To gauge how our flavors held up against more established mead makers we entered two of our meads in a national competition and with both winning awards and that got our minds turning. We knew we were on the right track and simply thought we should do something that had not been done before…bring the full experience of mead to Mississippi. We are proud to not only call it home but also be able to produce meads using honey directly from our state. Queens Reward is a labor of love. We hope you enjoy every bottle, glass, and sip as much as we enjoy making them.

ARE YOU SWEET OR DRY?

Scarlet Noir

13% ABV

This mead is a delightful combination of Mississippi Honey and California Pinot Noir grape juice that is fermented together to form a flavorful mead that starts like a Pinot but finishes smooth with a soft and slightly sweet mouthfeel. Scarlett Noir makes a great introduction to mead for traditional wine drinkers but is also popular with diehard mead lovers.

Traditional Sweet

11% ABV

Exactly what mead is meant to be. Made with 100% pure Mississippi Honey, this mead is sweeter than traditional wines with the distinct flavor and aroma of honey on the palate and a wonderful combination of fruit and floral notes on the nose that fills the glass and makes this an excellent choice for a dessert wine.

RuBee

12% ABV

Rubee beautifully combines sweet Mississippi Honey with tart North American Cranberries yielding the perfect compliment to any meal. This mead has a bold cranberry flavor that is offset with notes of orange and a hint of spice from the Mississippi Wildflower Honey that makes an amazing sweet-tart mead that is delicious during the holidays or year round.

Chocolate Covered Cherry

12% ABV

Chocolate Covered Cherry is a magnificent blend of honey, morello cherries and chocolate that starts a little tart, goes down a little sweet and has a smooth chocolate finish.

Pucker Up

13% ABV

Made with pure Mississippi Honey and natural lemon flavors, this mead is dangerously delicious and can be served in a traditional white wine glass, or over ice in a tall frosted glass. Pucker Up can also be mixed with a splash Kentucky Bourbon and crushed mint leaves to make the most tantalizing “Mead Julep.”

Delta Gold

12% ABV

Delta Gold is a delightful combination of Honey and pure Riesling grape juice. The sweetness of the honey is gently offset by the tartness of the Riesling grape, providing a refreshing taste that is full of bouquet and flavor. Apple and floral aromas compliment flavorful notes of pear, peach, apple, and apricot.

Winter Spice

12% ABV

Winter Spice is a traditional semi-sweet mead enhanced with the flavors of cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg to bring out the flavors and memories of the holiday season. Although Winter Spice is amazing when chilled, its true character emerges when served hot in a mug and complimented by a slice of orange.

Traditional Dry

13% ABV

Traditional Dry is made with 100% pure Mississippi Honey. What makes this mead so unique is that the honey used in it tastes just like cotton candy going into the fermenter. However, it produces wonderful floral and spice notes when it finishes, along with a hint of citrus and banana on the nose.

Delta Dry

10% ABV

Delta Dry combines Mississippi Honey and tart Riesling Grapes that ferment together to produce a tart, dry mead that appeals to the consummate dry wine lover. Flavorful notes of apple, pear, and apricot enhanced by pronounced floral aromas are sure to please those that prefer a dry wine.

Traditional Dry Oak

12% ABV

A traditional mead aged on Select American White Oak. This mead has a more complex flavor profile with a smooth, richer finish and a softer sweetness.

Blackberry

13% ABV

Queen's Reward Blackberry balances the bold tartness of blackberries with Mississippi Native Honey for a fruity yet balanced mead that pairs well with red meats and light cheeses. Blackberry is also an ideal candidate for the cellar as the flavor will continue to mature for years to come.
